I really love these type of videos.. i think listening to relaxing water sounds and seeing the water changing behavior depending on the wind speed can help us remind that this simulator got some outstanding features.
I’m completely with you. This new night lighting is so bad. I loved how it was before, what I hate most about the update is the majority of people actually like it…I wish there was a way to revert back.
There were loads of complaints about the night lighting so they changed it. Problem is that it’s very subjective. Some now like it some don’t. Before, some liked it and some didn’t.
You should see the pixilation in XEnviro for XPlane 11. This type of cloud particle construction lends its self to pixilation but Asobo do a better job than the XEnviro team.
Testing the A320neo by FBW and I’m still having the bank oscillation issue, but I notice it’s lesser than before and it stopped randomly when reaching FL320. Also, knots/MACH switch bug it’s still there.
These are the best clouds hands down. I remember at launch being utterly blown away by the lack of any perceivable pixellation in clouds. They were truly volumetric as advertised. But it seems like every update, the pixellation is getting worse. Particularly the last 2 updates.
Make sure to double check your settings after the update. My graphics looked pretty bad again, checked my data settings and “Bind data world graphics” was set to off.
Ahh ok, i thought the only complaints with the night lighting were the ones looking down form say 10k ft etc. Where the terrain/city scaps looked all blurry..
Don’t recall seeing any other complaints about the actually street lights.
Look in the Windows Event-Log (Application logs) for an Error with Flightsimulator.exe, export that event and attach it to the Zendesk report. There’s also a tip on the Zendesk howto page.
