Thanks for the report @PointedGerm1276 - confirming this wasn’t happening to you before you joined the Beta?

Thank you.

This bug wasn’t there before I joined the beta.

Hello, I got this visual last week when Orbx update London EGLC, for me it wasn’t to do with the beta, it just resolved itself after a couple of restarts of the game

I’ve experienced the same when entering VR on both of my last two flights at different locations. No issue in 2D, but when switching to VR I see the same "
spikes" as shown in others’ screenshots. Once I start moving, the spikes disappear after a few seconds.

This new bug is 100% reproducible if you follow the reproduction steps. This is not the same issue some users are having with the non-beta.

For example, if you have “Displacement Mapping” set to ON in your 2D settings and OFF in your VR settings, there is a good chance that your plane will crash when exiting VR due to the spikes.

Thank you for the bug report.

We have created an internal ticket to see if our team already has this logged, and if not they will attempt to reproduce the issue and create a new bug report. This item is now marked as feedback-logged. If there is an existing bug report or one is created, we will move this thread to bug-logged.

If I’d known what Displacement Mapping was when I started this thread I might have contributed to PointedGerm1276’s thread instead of starting my own.

At any rate, I set Displacement Mapping to on in both standard and VR settings, and so far I’ve seen no spikes.

Edit: also tried both off, no spikes.
