Display weather information on screen

In fsx, by pressing Shift + Z, we had the weather information, i.e. the winds as well as the number of FPS that appeared in the top left corner of the screen.

This function is missing in MFS, especially the wind information.

In the world view it shows the wind for the departure and arrival airports, however no in flight wind. You can display wind info in the G1000 during the flight.

It will be nice to be able to have it on any plane. Even those who don’t have a G1000. Like in FSX.

If you don’t mind a paid add on, then Sky4Sim hav a (currently on sale at Ā£11) ā€˜ipad’ like app that can be open during flight. Shows, map, position, airports & info AND weather at all those airports enroute. There may be others.

I wonder why these old threads are being automatically bumped instead of being closed. That’s odd and serves no purpose other than making us waste time opening them thinking it’s some new post.

Check the icon of the last poster in a thread. If you see ā€˜FS’ as the avatar, its the system bumping the thread.

Guess you didn’t read what I posted, that’s exactly what I said, that it was automatically bumped. My question is why they have this ā€œfeatureā€ enabled.

You certainly didn’t.
The avatar can be seen before you even click into a thread. If you see the system avatar, you can avoid clicking.

Clearly MS feels there is value from doing this. It’s rare, but I have seen conversations re-start after a thread is bumped.

Not always, SeedyL also has an avatar like that. Jummivana too, and Chewwy.

CMs have ā€˜FS’ inside a gold circle on a white background for me. Forum system avatar is translucent, therefore on a black background, as I use dark mode. Doesn’t appear in a gold circle either.

As the Wishlist is fairly large, the auto-bump feature helps to rotate by bumping older requests that users may not have seen and are interested in voting for. It tries to make it fair so requests receive more visibility, since users bumping is against the Code of Conduct. The auto-bump also assists the moderation team in finding any older duplicate topics or those which have been implemented.
