DIY Print 3D A320 Switch Box for Engines And Lights Panel v2

Hi everyone,

I’ve finally decided to improve the design of my engine and light panel for Airbus A320 family, and I can share the result with you. I’m very happy with how it looks. If anyone wants to make their own version, I can provide the files with the connection diagram, the code for Arduino Pro Micro, and the labels to print on vinyl.

If you want to compare it with the previous design, here is the link to the post I published then.

Nicely done. is it recognized as a HID or is it programmed strictly for MSFS? Are the handles a little off? Might need some super glue. How are you printing on the vinyl? I use a clear matt photograph protection spray on my faceplates. It keeps them from scratching or wearing with use.

It is based on an Arduino Pro Micro board, using a library that allows you to configure it as a custom joystick. You could say that Windows detects it as a HID device. The 3D printed handles are glued to the switch handles, but the switches rotate on themselves. I print the vinyl directly on my laser printer. I don’t apply anything else to it, but if you suggest the spray that you use, I would appreciate it.

Very nicely printed!

Sorry, thought I had replied to you already.

Thank you very much for the link!!!

Hi @SpoonMaker71 , very good job. Is there any chance to get the stl files? thanks a lot

Hi @gianluca3931,

Thank you for your interest in my A320 panel. Of course, I can’t just provide you with the STL files. I’ll also provide all the necessary documentation so you can build it with an Arduino Micro board, including the assembly diagram, a shopping list of the necessary components, the device’s source code, and most interestingly, the means to give the device a custom name under Windows other than “Arduino Micro.” I’ve also included the vinyl decals. Instructions on README.txt files.

I hope you enjoy it!

Best regards

If you’re interested, I also have a panel for ADIR controls, fire suppression, and electrical management for the A320. You can see it at this link: DIY Printed 3D A320 ADIRS Panels
