I did not buy the Aviator Edition, but I have bought almost all official addons individually since 2020’s launch to the present day. I noticed when viewing the announcement about the latest aircraft packs which are available as Steam DLC, some of the aircraft included are ones I already own that are known to have major issues in 2024. A key example is the Skyvan, which is for sale as part of Pack 2. I checked the changelog, and it was last updated in 2024 so I assume it’s still broken. It’s still listed as Unverified, as are other aircraft included in those packs.
I’m just trying to understand: Are the aircraft packs for sale the same versions as the ones I already own? Given the issues with some of these aircraft, if they are the same version, why are aircraft that aren’t even listed as compatible being sold explicitly as DLC for 2024?
Edit: I also noticed that if I go to Famous Flyers Pack 1 in my Library, I only have 3 (The An2, 707-320C, and Trimotor) and that is the only Pack that even appears in my library. When I look in the store, I am shown the full price for each pack despite owning several of them. It chearly says Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024, and then says “Purchase includes the MSFS 2020 version of the item” which insinuates you’re buying 2024 versions. But are they actually 2024 versions, or the same semi-broken 2020 versions?
