Here’s a couple frames from the sample video in the post you quoted; I don’t think caching would affect these:
This looks like a “real” frame in the external pan section:
And the next frame is an interpolated frame, with a lot of motion artifacts:
The foreground objects like the lampposts and the jetway are pretty much the worst case scenario for FG in that they’re very fast moving, but you can also see significant image corruption on the tail and winglets, which are visually prominent parts of the plane.
The interior panning does better IMO, however I think head-tracker style translation of the head position could produce more motion artifacts by bringings things closer/farther and moving the viewpoint between the exterior and interior.
I just pulled the trigger on a 7900 XTX so I bet against frame generation. We’ll see if I regret it or not in the long term…
