Oh 8K, I see.
Because I have a 120Hz monitor and there is a HUGE difference between 60 and 120 fps. 5080 makes approx. 100 fps with FGx2 in 4k so I want to max it out.
Iâm having good results with 3x MFG via the Nvidia App.
What differences are you referring to when you say HUGE?
I have a 120 Hz OLED display as well but I go the other way and intentionally limit my 4090 to 60 fps because in a slow SIM like this I donât see a benefit from fps > 60. Also you will have a much worse fidelity because FG and DLSS will introduce a lot of graphical instability and ghosting, even in 4K with preset K.
My aircooled 4090 is running at 65 degree and 1200-1300 RPM in 4K DLAA with all settings maxed and the game runs like butter.
I am not saying what you do is wrong, everybody must decide for themselves what is best for them.
Just double-checking youâre aware that Preset K, when activated through the Nvidia app, now has an âUltra Qualityâ setting in the game.
I donât see any ghosting at all FWIW.
There is no Ultra Quality on mine. You probably messed around with inspector and the swapper and thatâs why you have it.
Nope, not the case.
Update to the latest driver and latest version of the Nvidia app. Profile K is selectable in there, and once done âUltra Qualityâ is available in the game.
Hmm, I have latest selected in the app and donât have ultra quality in sim. Isnât latest the same as profile K?
Are you in SU2 beta by any chance?
I just signed up to it (having updated the to very latest Nvidia driver) and the option has gone from the menu.
You know you can use FG without DLSS on? FG is a part of DLSS, but you dont need to use the upscaling for FG to work. As in TAA + FG. It works for me in latest driver and SU2. Maybe i just didnt understand what you mean.
Same, anyone else get ultra quality?
Find it odd that no one else is mentioning it.
Yes, Iâm on SU2 beta.
Nope. Latest driver and nv app, overriden dlss to latest and preset K in nv app, and no ultra quality in sim.
Ok. It is 100% there on the live build but appears to missing from SU2 beta
Slightly odd
@RomoRocket There are threads discussing it, itâs how I found out it existed. As mentioned above, it is missing from SU2.
Interesting.
So Iâve unsubscribed from the beta to check to see if it was the cause it and it wasnât. That leaves the only variable being that I upgraded my GPU driver to the latest version today, it has to be that that has removed the option unfortunately.
SU1 does not have native support for dlss4 and you are swapping dlss dll-s then. Those dll-s are collected from other games and may have diferent configurations and profiles.
SU2 have support for driver level latest dlss.
I did the DDU (driver removal in safe mode), I reinstalled the driver, I did DLSS swapper (including going into settings > DLSS Developer Options > Show on-screen indicator), I did the nvidia settings.
Supposedly this is DLSS 4/preset K but why is it called DLSSv3?
Is there anything else I need to do? So far I donât really see any difference and the performance isnât great either.
to enable the on-screen info you either use the regedit method or DLSS swapper:
You know itâs dlss4 because of preset K or J⊠donât mind the dlssv3 below it. You are on dlss4 sir.
With SU2 in the home stretch, this thread will get archived along with the other beta threads.
Wondering if anyone is using Multi Frame Gen on a regular basis now, if anyone can? What I have learned is that MFG is not feasible for me with a 60Hz refresh rate display limit. What are folks with the higher refresh rate monitors finding out about MFG?
Iâm using MFG x3 via the Nvidia app. FPS is capped at 78, which keeps it just under my refresh rate of 240Hz. It works flawlessly for me, and I havenât noticed much artifacting.
