DLSS Frame Generation not selectable

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
DLSS Frame Generation cannot be selected. Only the AMD option and None are displayed.
All settings in the NVIDIA app are set to default.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
Every Time. Did a clean Install.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Choose Graphics, try to switch to DLSS FG

YOUR SETTINGS

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it?

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12?

You can’t enable Frame Generation because it’s only supported on RTX 40 series cards. Your RTX 3080 Gaming X doesn’t support it.

I have an ASUS ROG STRIX 4090. FG was no problem before SU2. (had old specs in my bio).

Do you have HAGS enabled?

Make sure you have HAGS (Hardware-Accelerated GPU Scheduling) enabled in Windows - it’s required for Frame Generation to work.

Also, turn off Developer Mode in MSFS settings - it can sometimes prevent Frame Generation from working properly.

All good. I had the same issue and the post from @TenPatrol sorted it. So yes it was HAGS in my case.

Perhaps it was yours, but mine was the deluxe edition with extra tips :squinting_face_with_tongue:

And hey, if I hadn’t had to snag that screenshot and flag Developer Mode, who knows which one of us would’ve been first … :rofl:

Honestly, doesn’t matter whose post nailed it – as long as FG is up and running, we all win :slight_smile:

In any case, I won’t have any problem if the OP marks yours as the solution.
