Do handcrafted Airports from MSFS overwrites third party airports?

Hi guys, a general question from my side. In the update today, we get a handcrafted airport i.e.
Cote d Azur (LFMN). If i have a third party airport already installed, will it get overwrite by MSFS?

Community folder and marketplace content always take priority over default!

but if i understand @AwesomeBlack533 correctly, if you have those addons in the community folders you don’t have to change anything, right?

Quite right. But if the in-game offering is better than the addon (which will likely need updating at some point) why keep it?
However if the addon is better, and there are some superb offerings out there, then by all means leave them alone.
Of late I’ve become a bit disillusioned with addons, a few certainly having been the source of a problem or two, and my machine isn’t good enough to cope with much out of the ordinary.
Eventually of course the sim will be perfect and there will be no need for addons!!!

I can tell you that if you have, for example the Premium Edition with Asobo’s handcrafted Sydney airport (YSSY), and you buy the ORBX version, the two can conflict with each other. In that case the solution was to uninstall the Asobo version of YSSY via the Content Manager, and the glitches were gone.

orbx didn’t make a Sydney airport it was fly Tampa orbx made the cityscape

is the Fly Tampa Airport much better than the Asobo one? ice had it in my wishlist but the Asobo one looks fairly decent

The FlyTampa version is definitely prettier and more detailed. Buildings and ground texture are noticably different. However, if you have the Asobo version, it might not be worth it to pay for the addon if you don’t fly there often.
I do like to fly in and around Sydney, and I bought the FlyTampa version on a 30% discount in March, so it was an easy choice. If you can spare the money, it’s a good choice.

well i tend to do tours/ trips ive been doing Brazil currently and i have been collecting Aussie airports for my Australia trip in the futrure so i dont mind paying if its good. i do plan on getting the Adelaide, Brisbane and sydney city packs

ok that’s good to know that for uninstalling Asobos airports we have to do it through the content manager
