Do I have to download the World Updates again?

Hello,
do I have to download any World Update again for MSFS2024 when I already got them in MSFS? Just courious about cause this would increase the download and required disk space for some hundrets of Gigabytes.

No. No world updates like before.

Oh okay, great to know. Are they now somehow in the base package or/and will be streamed?

Entirely streamed.

Not entirely true. There will still be World Updates. But you are correct they will be streamed and you don’t have to download them.

Yes, the digital twin will update, we don’t have to worry.

I suppose the Brazil world update will release soon too.

It will be great as I ‘fly’ mostly in Brazil.

The worst is when you get a world update and see that all the other packages have updates too. This is a huge QoL improvement for us.

I think we need to have the option to download world updates as it was done in 2020 as not everyone has access to gigabit speed Internet.

Im on a connection of 40mbit down and 9 up so streaming everything on the fly is going to lead to a very sub-par sim for me.

And i dont have the option of just “getting better Internet” because im on the highest package available to me, I live in a semi rural part of the UK where we have no access to FTTP

So obviously the option to download to my SSD is better than streaming in as i go, my connection isbt going to allow me to enjoy the sim fully.
