On patch day I stupidly signed out in game thinking if I signed back in again it might make marketplace appear non greyed out. Wow! did I get that wrong. Now when I try to start the sim it wants to download the entire game again. I have tried logging in and out of Microsoft all to no avail. Has anyone else experienced this and if so is there any work around? (using steam version)
Yikes! I never did that, but I wonder if it broke the connection between Steam and your XBox account? So maybe if you go into one or the other you an restore it?
I’d definitely put a Zendesk (link at top of page) about that, and thanks for the warning!
Hi… um…
I’m afraid I have the same problem (also with steam version). Did you ever find a way around it? cos i just don’t know what to do.
any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
HI, I did sign out and back in in a much earlier release (probably the first release) and had no issues (I am also a steam user).
My advice, try disconnecting your ethernet cable (or switchign off wifi) and try and see if you can start the simulator, and sign in.
Nevertheless, the fact your marketplace was all greyed out before hand shows there may have been an issue earlier, and that the Steam/MS purchase /liscense was broken. Remember the “content” of MS (base/deluxe/premium/marketplace content) are all associated with steam, ie in the content\steam directory.
