Does the default ATC recognise Multiplayer?

Hello

I have recently started to use multiplayer for more flights, but I have a question. If I use the default ATC will it recognise other multiplayers aircraft? Only I was ready to line up and another player was approaching, the ATC cleared me, but I waited until the players had landed. If I had lined up what would have happened? Would ATC make the players go around or does it not see other players?

I would not rely on the default ATC for that. In multiplayer the other aircraft are mostly a visual traffic presence from your point of view, and the other pilot may not even be using the same ATC session. So I would treat it like you did: look outside, check the map or traffic display if you use one, and hold short if someone is clearly on final.

I do not think ATC would magically force that player to go around just because it cleared you. It may give you a clearance based on what it understands, but separation with random multiplayer traffic is still something I would manage visually.

Ok thanks. Just wondered as the same player parked in a spot which had an AI plane in it, so looked a bit silly. Do most people turn the AI planes off if they have multiplayer on?

I don’t know how other players set MSFS but when I play with multiplayer on, I turn off other traffic.
