I thought how about a nice flight to LPMA (AMSIM version from ORBX), I have not flown that in a while. It is a challenging approach on to the RNAV 5. So you know us hardcore simmers, research the flight get the correct livery, get a plan, real weather etc. Load up the sim get the plane the sorted out as close as possible to real life. Board your pax for a 2 hour flight + pre-set up and planning.
Now bearing in mind I am using the wonderful FSS E195 which isn’t fully finished I have to fly most of the approach manually with not much to rely on, I guess as in IRL. The flight was amazing, the approach was nice, I did it well, came around nicely on profile and lined up, got to the threshold of runway and boom!!!
ill let the picture explain the rest.
It just makes me so angry!! Another 3 hours wasted. Why isn’t this fixed!

If you didn’t update it yourself, it was to be expected to be still broken?
It updates through ORBX. There are no updates and have not been for a while. Also I have un-installed the Default LPMA so what to do…Just dont fly to scenery I paid for?

Probably best to try the Orbx forums.
What peeves me the most is an airport with 3 different wind socks pointing 3 different directions:/

I understand your frustrations with bugs in your destination airport but why do you call it 3 hours wasted? The landing represents just a tiny portion of those 3 hours, which were not affected at all by the airport bug.
Because to complete a flight you must land. So wasting time, Planning, taking off, managing the plane through the flight, preparing the descent and approach, to land on a runway with massive hole in it, thus ending the flight/mission like that to me is a complete failure and thus a waste of time.
while I can understand the sentiment, and the anger at the dev, just a thought on the “failure” part: since it wasn’t your fault that the flight ended in a crash - and since you obviously touched down correctly (the point with the speed bump on the runway is far away from the touchdown point) I guess the flight still was mostly a success and I wouldn’t call the 3 hours you spent on it wasted. But that’s your choice how you want to view that.
In case you want to try again: I have this mod installed and I don’t have problems with the runway:
Well original post was 3 years ago i flew into it 2 years ago and was fine without any improvement mod, so unless it was updated or they had conflicting mods installed its fine
