Dornier Seastar Water Take off problem

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

The Seastar doesn’t lift off when taking off from a water surface; acceleration stops around 80-90 kts and rotating has no effect.

Every water take off.

Just take off from water; either by spawning or prior landing.

I’m seeing the same thing. It takes off from a land airport just fine (i.e. continues to accelerate, and rotates/lifts off as expected). But on the water, it stops accelerating ~80kts. The elevators are visually working correctly, but have no effect on the plane on the water. Flaps appear to be operating normally. Gear is not down while in the water.
The only way I got it to take off on the water, was hit a fairly shallow beach and “launch” into the air. :grimacing: Pretty sure that’s not mentioned in the POH!
