The first payware scenery for KSMF has just been released by Double T. It looks like a good quality rendition from the screenshots. Price is approximately $19.00 (USD).

I just purchased this yesterday…It’s a nice upgrade from the stock airport for sure. If anyone wants some screenshots, let me know…Enjoying it so far…

Almost $20 for a pretty small airport that looks kind of sterile. Will likely pass unless on sale.

I purchased this and just tried it for the first time. I’ll copy my personal review of this software: “I would mark this as a C- scenery at best in its current form. It needs ALOT of love to make it worth its current price tag. It lacks significant detail within the terminals, the geometry is very rough around the edges, and the texturing leaves a lot to be desired. As a Sacramento local, it’s disappointing to see this airport represented this poorly for a product at this price range. I feel the Aerosoft offering for P3D is a much better product. Unfortunately, I feel this Double T scenery was just on a “To-Do” list for the developer rather than actually up to the standard for this price range. Do not recommend in its current state. It has potential, just released far too soon.”

Orbx announced a KSMF just a couple of days ago.
I don’t dislike the Double T version, but the only real drawback for me is the lack of fluff which gives it a good looking but lifeless feel. Like you are visiting the airfield from that Steven king movie the langoleers.

Yeah, I sort of agree and I’ll probably pick up this version, depending on price. The one thing the Double T version seems to have that the Orbx version lacks though, are the Amazon buildings and other buildings off to the east of 17L/25R.
