Rig is i7-8700K, 64GB DDR4, RTX 3080 Founder’s Edition. It would normally get 25 - 40 FPS on a good day running at 1440p with ultra graphics settings.
After installing the latest patch yesterday (1.10.7.0), frame rates have dipped to below 10, hovering between 5-9, no matter what graphics settings I try (low-end, etc). I also noticed that both CPU and GPU are being underutilized (below 50%).
I’ve glanced around the forum here and don’t see anything similar posted by anyone else… I’m deeply bummed
Anyone else experiencing this?? I’ve tried the usual things (nVidia settings reset, turned off motion blur, vsync off, AI and Traffic off, all drivers updated, restarts, etc.), with no luck so far.
Something is not right… I have a gtx 1060 6gb, an i5 3470 and 16gb ram. I play at 4k on medium custom settings and get 20-30fps. Unfortunately i have to have render scaling set to 80 though.
dude i really want to know what setup asobo used to test this simulator, how can they say the game runs at 4k 60fps wen not even top of the line gpus or cpus can keep a steady fps… everyone needs a refund…
Because it doesn’t run at a perfectly smooth 60fps at 4k means the entire thing is worthless? And there is nothing else worthwhile in this incredible simulation? Find somewhere else to moan about your entitled feelings. I’m fairly sure you don’t run at a constant 60fps, so maybe we all need a refund from you?
Go into nvidea control panel and set it to prefer performance. try that. Make sure render scaling is set to 100 and then try switching between DLAA and TAA. Let us know if that help?
Thanks, the other person pointed out the other interpretation. Your language skills are, quite frankly, absolute ■■■■. Choose your words more carefully. There is such a thing as crafting a point.
This is the same as the first point. Avoiding repetition is helpful if you are trying to make a cogent argument.
I wrote an internationally-bestselling title on Minecraft that was translated into many languages. It made me a massive amount of money in royalties. I quite enjoy playing Minecraft now and then. But I’m also an actual pilot and so take more pleasure in MSFS.
Your BTW is just a byproduct of your wilful ignorance. If you cannot permit the possibility that your hardware cannot deliver the same FPS while knowing the developer is likely running on optimized hardware and is providing a “tech demo” like almost every game publisher does, then why don’t you use this as an excuse to gain a little wisdom. We all have difficult learning experience in life. The difference between you and I is that you don’t seem to have ever seen them that way.
I found the new dev mode of the A32NX upgrade really slowed my fps down. Might just be coincidence, but I’ve taken it off and am now flying the default A320 and my fps have gone right back to where they were before.
Good call, totally skipped my mind. Let me give this a try and see if it does anything.
Tbh though, I’m quite flabbergasted with my mediocre fps when rigs with inferior components (2070 Super, 16 GB, etc.), claim to get 50-70 fps. I wonder if there’s any fundamentally wrong that I’m doing re Nvidia settings, etc…
