Once there, sometimes I just cant move the drone including moving up/down/left/right/forward/back and at other times it works fine. Stranger still, even when it is working initially, it stops working after some time even when nothing has been changed. Switched off track IR among other things but nothing seems to work.
Out of interest do you have an xbox controller that you use to control the drone?
I have noticed a few times lately that when I start MSFS my drone camera isnât working eitherâŠand when I go to options>controllers I see that my xbox controller, for some strange reason, hasnât been detected in that session of MSFS. Restarting the sim usually fixes it for me.
Have you bound the drone camera control axis to your controller/joystick?
It is on the PC, I dont use xbox controller, just the keyboard, mouse and joystick.
All binding are with keyboard and only toggle between fixed view and drone chase is via the joystick. All of it worked fine till a few days back with same bindings and that is what has me left wondering as to what happened.
I usually assign the Drone movement into my joystick axis directly, so I can control my drone the same way I control my aircraft. So I think you just need to double check with your bindings again or your profile which may have been switched to a âdefaultâ profile that doesnât have them bound.
I can still use my drone, and I still use them even today.
Are you pressing the âcâ key on your keyboard at any point? If so that changes all the inputs back to the normal aircraft controls instead of the drone camera controls.
That is a good point, c is very close to the keys I use for drone and may press it accidentally. Will check.
Binding is the first thing I checked and it was the same.
I had the exact same issue: the c key was the responsible for it, definitively. 
Thanks all for the replies here, I had the same issue with the drone camera not working properly. Turned out I that the C key which I had bound to âtoggle cameraâ also toggles aircraft steering in drone mode. 
Im having the same issue, i selected âCâ for toggle drone camera. After that i am not able to move around with WSAD, even thought those keys are there in my keyboard controls. How do i solve this issue?
on my end got âTâ key for smarttarget cam I think, wich is close to R & F (increase /descrease altitude) wich once hit,it lock my drone and make not able to move but stay behind my aircraft, I have to hit 5 to reset drone angle
