Using the Drone Toggle keybind in the Camera Switch Menu gets into the Drone mode but then I can’t get out of it. Using Cockpit Camera Toggle or External View Toggle or anything else doesn’t work. Using the Camera menu in the sim doesn’t work either.
The sim also tells me I’ve crashed the airplane while I’m in drone mode even though I loaded cold and dark and never entered the cockpit and I get stuck in a loop of crashing and going “Back on track” then crashing again.

Every time I toggle into drone mode.

12/16/2024 - I no longer have this issue. Not sure if it had something to do with the repitition option being checked in the keybindings or not but I can jump in and out of drone mode freely as I expected to.
12/17/2024 - drone mode is not supposed to work when in walking mode I don’t think (it should tho!) but I get this bug when I hit the drone button in walk mode and it activates. If it doesn’t activate, no problem, but if drone mode activates then I am stuck until I exit to the main menu or restart the flight.

• No further information is required. I want to use the same drone key assignment to enter/ exit the camera mode similar to MSFS 2020.

- This is true of the “Drone Camera Toggle” keybind, but the “Drone Toggle” keybind (Shift+X by default on the 2024 profile) seems to work fine. I’m not sure why both of these keybinds exist, it seems like Drone Camera Toggle should be removed.
- In addition, after turning on the drone using Drone Camera Toggle, you can get back into your previous view by opening the menu with Escape and then clicking Resume. This is true whether the Drone Camera Toggle, or the Drone Toggle keybind is used, opening the menu resets you to cockpit view (or external if you were on external before).

Same trouble to me on FS2024. I can enter in drone mode but never leave it. I need to CTRL/ALT/DEL. I’m on store version. French version. Take a look, no short key displayed on the bottom left !

• Yes, in my case if I allocate a button on the Xbox controller to “Toggle Drone”, I can toggle into Drone Mode, but the same button will not switch me back. However it is possible to switch in and out of drone mode using “SHIFT+X” on the keyboard (“2024 transversal” profile) or by opening up the camera menu in the on-screen settings, which ALWAYS defaults to Cockpit Camera mode!

Yes, in a part, I can back by camera menu, but, not on this screen because impossible to access to camera menu
