Currently enabling multiplayer traffic involves setting about 5 different barely related settings exactly right across several settings screens. If you use VR there are even more settings to set correctly before you can see other people.
It would be great if those were on by default, or if it was easy to toggle all of them into a “Just show me other people please” setting.
I suppose this is not a concrete wishlist suggestion, just a general desire for it to be easier for people to see each other.

Yes agree that all setting for multiplayer should be all in one place. server used, multiplayer on/off and nameplates on/off (with key bindings to).
Would be great to have nameplates for multiplayers separate to AI traffic and boats as well.
at the moment for me it is all or nothing

And it gets worse if you use third-party ATC, as they, rightfully, have you turn off in-sim traffic to avoid duplicate injection. This means losing multiplayer. And if you turn off the main ‘Live Traffic’ setting, I believe you then also lose ship traffic.
I agree; there’s just too many settings, and too much unnecessary overlap in what they control.
