Ok, this is really weird.
I always update my PC, reboot, and empty my Community folder before an update.
Then I install the update, install the WU and whatever, go to content manager and update. Quit the software, start again, and do a quick flight before I bring my Community folder back. Only had an install issue once many years ago.
When I installed WU14, I watched it install. Bought the plane and watched it install, too. Nothing in content manager, ok, went to hangar, checked out the new plane. Quit.
A couple of hours later I restarted the sim, the hangar had switched back to the 152, “Ok, that’s normal when I don’t actually start a flight when I switch planes in the hangar, cool” Decided to do a quick flight and check out if the Pemigewasset river has been fixed yet… That’s interesting, it started with the new plane and not the 152, even though the 152 was in the hangar and was selected in the top left in the World Map. Weird, but, ok, let’s check out the new plane anyway while we’re here. Took off from NH49, all is going well, and flew up Crawford’s notch up to 1B5. After I landed at 1B5 and was taxiing back to parking, all of a sudden my sim became a slideshow. What the heck is going on??
I tried to go to the options to see if they reset my graphics settings (again ), and I noticed it had started a download… what the heck??
So I quit the flight and sure enough it had started downloading the eastern europe install… again… 5.11 GB of it. I saw it download before. I saw it say it was done. I saw in the Marketplace I “Owned” it. I saw it finish. Then I installed the plane. I saw in the Marketplace I “Owned” the plane, too, and it was fully installed, just like WU14. Why did WU14 start downloading again? In the middle of a flight no less???
At no point did I ask for it to download. It just started on its own in the middle of a flight. A package I had already installed completely and even shut down MSFS in between.
That’s messed up.
