A310, but problem is already visible in World Map

Brief description of the issue:

When trying to select SID or STAR in the FMC there is nothing available. Also when selecting Arrivals or Departures in World Map only Direct is available

Detailed steps to reproduce the issue encountered:

Startup A310 or any other plane, enter EDDS as destination, observe nothing is available.
Or just open World Map, enter EDDS for FROM and TO and see that nothing is available.

Moved it out of beta as this might be not connected to the SU15 beta.

I confirmed the issue is also present in SU14 and ensured community folder is empty. I even uninstalled the A310, which I recently installed.

As EDDS is a popular airport on Vatsim in Germany with frequent events I’m surprised this has not been reported before.

Could somebody try to replicate this issue?

the most important information is missing here - what NAV data you have. I have Navigraph NAV data and have all available, no Beta.

I don’t have Navigraph data.

There is quite a lot wrong with EDDS, some topics on that.
As you correctly described, the Navdata for approaches is not available ingame.
Also the Glideslope is wrong (reported over 1 year ago and not fixed)

One of the problems that makes it so hard to chase down on the “EDDS problems” is that it is not clear where exactly the data for the glide path, ILS frequencies, SID/Star data and other data comes from:
the default FS2020 airport, an Asobo handcrafted (bespoke) airport or a 3rd party AddOn airport? :thinking:
I have now uninstalled all EDDS airports (including the default one) and installed one of my 2 purchased EDDS airports: the EDDS from JUSTSIM and all of a sudden the ILS info is back … whereas it is missing if I either have the Asobo handcrafted or the RDpreset one installed.

I can assure you, I have no add-on airport installed, only stock. And tried with an empty community folder to exclude any unexpected side effects from other add-ons.

When you say “stock” do you mean the plain vanilla fs2020 default EDDS airport or the bespoke Asobo EDDS airport that comes with the premium edition?

I do have premium deluxe installed so this should be the Asobo EDDS then. I actually wasn’t aware that this is not in the base sim. What I meant by stock was that I did not purchase a 3rd party airport not did I install a community addon

Would such an issue be fixable via the World Hub? Maybe it is already being addressed as we speak (okay, I guess I’m overly optimistic)

on EDDS? Just checked, not back for me. Only “visual”

Can’t confirm. Still only Direct and nothing else for Departures and Arrivals with the plain vanilla sim (e.g. no Navigraph).

I had the same problem and just got is solved.

The problem seems to be the World Update VI (DE/AT/CH). If you uninstall that world update and restart your sim, there should be SIDs/STARs again.
But then the scenery is just bad, please tell me if you know any good freeware scenery for EDDS.

Good to know what is causing the issue. :+1:

I wouldn’t call uninstalling the WU a solution but rather a bandaid. I’d rather keep the WU installed :slight_smile:

Update 15 and/ or the south germany update solved it for me - i guess. haven’t done anything special to have the sids/ stars back.

I just tried to remove all germany updates (WU and CU) and re-install them one by one. With CU installed but without the WU 6 it works fine, but then the handcrafted EDDS airport is not included. After installing WU 6 it is broken again.

Also after deleting just EDDS (v 1.2.3) arrival and departures are populated again. As soon as EDDS is installed again, they are empty.

Could you confirm that you have WU 6 fully installed including the Microsoft EDDS airport? I do wonder what the difference is between our installations.

EDDS: Justsim (with standard edds deactivated in content.xml)
