Description of the issue: When in the career mode, cannot interact with the EFB during a mission, or before a mission is accepted.
FREQUENCY OF ISSUE
How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? All the time
REPRODUCTION STEPS
Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:
Select career mode from the main menu
Select Missions from “Headquarters” screen
Select “Freelancer” tab to see missions on the world map
Select any missions on the world map
On the screen that shows “Accept Mission” button, select EFB.
EFB is displayed, however cannot interact with the tablet UI using xbox controller.
Accept the mission, select your aircraft. When the screen with the aircraft in the hangar shows up (where “Fly” button is shown), select the EFB again. Once again EFB is displayed but I cannot interact with the UI using xbox controller
YOUR SETTINGS
What peripherals are you using: I have T. Flight Hotas One. Issue happens regardless of this peripheral being connected or not.

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.
Not the same issue. I am not even interacting with any popup keyboard. I am trying to select / click any UI element, for example, trying to select “flight planner” or “aircraft” buttons at the bottom of the tablet UI.
Steps don’t exist but in free flight mode do you also have an issue when selecting “flight planner” or “aircraft” buttons at the bottom of the tablet UI ?
Clearly you are not understanding my steps in the reproduction section. I am not talking about the EFB in the cockpit view when flying a plane. I am talking about BEFORE a mission starts.
The post you pointed to (#16 by Zadma) pointed in the right direction. Changing the controller to “2024 Transversal” in the settings seems to address the issue. However doing so means I lose all my custom key bindings. When I install the game long time ago, I duplicated default general controls and airplane controls and created my own with my preferred key bindings. Perhaps the duplicated controls missed something, or whatever bug fix applied in a previous SU missed these custom controls?
I am not using the Career mode so I am not familiar with all the screens, steps needed to complete those activities.
You are saying that EFB is not working prior to start a flight but in free flight you can also access the EFB when you are on the world map prior to start a flight so it is a similar situation I would think.
When in career mode and you start a flight, does the EFB start working there maybe ?
Interesting that @Zadma post fixed somehow your issue. If you start configuring a new profile from the default 2024 transversal, it would be interesting to see if issue is gone or occurs again. I know it is painful to configures again custom bindings but maybe worth to try.
To add more context into this issue; when the game came out this was not a problem. Somewhere between SU1, SU2 and SU3, this bug came up. I was hoping that SU4 would fix it, but it did not.
It’s a corruption of presets made prior to SU2 I believe. They can appear 100% identical to the default preset and still never work. Your only choice is to create a new preset based on the default one, but the good news is it’s just for the General category. None of your bindings for aircraft controls need adjusted or reset whatsoever.
I followed your suggestion; created a duplicate of the default 2024 transversal, reassigned some of my key bindings. I could interact with the EFB. Tested with from in cockpit view and also before mission start screen. I was curious about the free flight screen, as you suggested, and, yes, I missed the EFB option there, so, thanks for that reminder. However I could not interact with the EFB unless I selected a plane, start and end locations. Also when I switched to free flight, somehow my airplane controls where switched to another option. After re-selecting my newly duplicated config, I could interact with the EFB. When I went back to career mode, opened mission and tried to open EFB and interact with it again, MSFS2024 crashed.
So it seems that the new profile works at that point even if you still have to bind the others commands as in your faultily older profile to confirm, that’s a progress.
If you restart your Xbox and the sim, do you still get a crash after following the same steps ?
