How do I enable the A320NX PTU “barking dog” sound? I found the setting in the flypad where you can enable it but I still don’t hear the PTU during startup in the cockpit.
The sound isn’t audible in the cockpit.

Furthermore the PTU design has been changed a few years ago and it’s hence even in the cabin only barely (if at all) audible
Airbus has modified the “barking dog” noise generated by the A320neo’s power transfer system to be quieter during ground maneuvering. The characteristic barking sound has been a prominent feature of the A320 family of aircraft, and can usually be heard in the cabin when the differential pressure between the two systems surpasses 500psi. Airbus claims that the sound generated by the power-transfer unit is going to be “significantly reduced,” including suppression of vibrations from within the pumps and the installation of two additional dampers – one close to the engines and the other near the wing root.
Well why is there a setting in the fly pad that says “enable PTU sound audible in cockpit (Unrealistic)”.
I know its unrealistic but there seems to be a setting for it so I’m trying to figure out how to get it working
Oh. Interesting feature.
