`Brief description of the issue:Engine 1 is 100% and there is no power as if the engine is off. And the engine is moving but not giving any power. This happens with every plane and has been happening after the update.

Are you using the Thrustmaster Airbus throttle ?

I can confirm the same issue with the TCA for the airbus. The “start engine 1” selector does not respond and is always OFF.
Also I noticed that when you move the camera with the POV hat button, the mouse icon disappears and somehow gets “reset” always appearing from the left, which is a bit annoying. Anybody else experienced this?
Maybe FBW should release and update or MS should help explain why is the TCA suddenly not working properly?

TCA Stick, Throttle is moving in the VC but engine won’t respond.
Same here…the entire fleet of MSFS2020 is unflyable for the same reason. There where some updates for the TCA stick and throttle. But even after that: problem still remains.
And no possibility to change the preset function/buttons, or start by clicking with the mouse on the engine start switch in the cockpit.
I just REFUSE to fly with keyboard and mouse only ! I guess my holidays will be finished long time before there will be a solution for this…I know they have a LOT of work to do at ASOBO when they do such an update/upgrade, and i totally understand and respect what they are doing. But i wonder how, or with what kind of hardware they test the sim before releasing an update? 
Switch off physically ENG 1 on the tca quadrant, then click on Eng1 and it will switch it on. It’s only a workaround in the meantime.

Same here.TCA can’t switch engline 1 on and off and i use X56 stick can’t set land light off only switch taxi and on .This update team is really bad …

Ok so same issue here and I have the tca.
Tried a complete reinstall after deleting everything out. Updated TCA to latest firmware with results still the same. Engine 1 spools up then shutdown. No ability to restart. This is across all aircraft.
Tried the above work around to set engine 1 to shutdown on TCA and turned engine 1 on via the screen and mouse.
Beyond this I have intermittent issues with freezing on the loading screen, or CTD on loading a flight plan.
Update 5 seems to have created more issues than fixed. Maybe stop worrying about XBox and focus on the PC version first

I am experiansing the same problem The TCA start switch is not working for engine 1 but it work with engine 2. Haven’t tried to switch visually in the cockpit yet.
Make sure that engine 1 is off on TCA and use on screen with mouse and it seems to work

Found the problem!
You need to delete what you can see in the first picture. And the second picture shows how it looks after you deleted it.
That worked for me.

i just did some touch and go’s at EBBR to try the switch engine 1 off on my TCA, and switch it On “manually” in the VC with the mouse. It worked perfectly well. And upon that, no more game freeze during the entire time. Will test tomorrow with a “normal” flight full monty…all-inclusive to make sure i wasn’t lucky tonight.

In general, I have found many key bindings and flight controller bindings that no longer work as they used to work.
I’ve been going through - slowly - and fixing things on my setup.
Note: you can save profiles for each input device… mouse, keyboard, HOTAS, etc. I’ve made ones that say “SU5” as a suffix, just to keep my old bindings as a reference. Probably unnecessary, but thought I’d throw that out there.
It’s pretty easy to “copy and paste” and/or start with a “clean slate.”
For the one that says the wrong the to do in the red box, do i make sure the TOGGLE ENGINE 1 FUEL VALVE is joystick button 3 or what joystick button?
