all types of airplanes having engine failure during the flight( all settings are correct) after the latest update, anyone having similar issues?
appreciate suggestions
Regards
What planes are you flying? Did you really mean “all” planes? Jet? Prop? Turboprop? Could you be more specific about what happened?
Failures can be configured on the aircraft drop-down menu when picking an aircraft for a flight. Most people do not enable any of these. I don’t because there are no Emergency Checklists. Unfortunately, this has made me lazy scanning the instruments if I know nothing is going to break.
There is an emergency checklist in TBM pilot manual
that includes procedures and cases such as engine fire,
and you can test them in the sim
Apology for the delayed reply, bellow is a list of airplanes engine flameout
Cub crafter X Cub
Robin DR 400/100
Beechcraft King air
AIRLINERS functioning normally
Have not tested the rest yet
Note Fuel amount, fuel SOV as required
thank you all
I’m pretty sure emergency procedures are in each POH. MSFS didn’t include the POH for each aircraft.
If I have an emergency like an engine flame out, I don’t want to spend valuable time looking for the POH, hard copy or digital, and then have to find the Emergency Procedures. I need a laminated reference card within arm’s reach with all the Emergency Procedures. Realistically I know that these would not be included in any popular flight simulator.
Also, if there is an emergency, there is no way in MSFS to declare a MAYDAY and have ATC respond and react to it.
Seems I am spending more time finding solutions than enjoying my hobby, something I am not facing on X PLANE11, for example practicing challenge airport Aspen, flying Cessna citation where both engines flameout (fuel quantity checks good) had no problems yesterday.
Citation is not the only airplane having such an issue, all propeller engines having the same problem.
winder what happens if I delete all and re-download
Regards
I can add the B787-10 to the engine flame out list. 5+ hours into a long haul flight (today with the latest update) both engines flamed out with around 100.000 lbs of fuel on board.
Contacted support regarding flameout issues over two weeks ago, they request mysiminfo.txt file which I send and was told hang tight as they put it, haven’t heard from them as of yet, so, I went into the process of eliminations which took a long time and got all systems and airplanes functioning normally except B747 is not showing up despite updating.
I had this two times with the Citation Longitude: Sudden stop of both engines - Amount of fuel in both cases app. 50%. I found no reason for this behaviour - failures in parameters are all set to NO. The problem occurs randomly - i did successful flights between and after these two issues.
