Is there any way to reduce engine sound when in exterior view without changing the engine sound in the cockpit?
There’s an option for “engine sound” in the sound settings but this affects all views interior/exterior.
Given the option of emulating “Noise Reduction” headsets in the audio menu, it’s not much of a loss to reduce the Engine sound overall. Mine is at 60 to save my hearing so I can blow it out when airshows are a safe reality once more.

It might be possible in sound.xml for the airplane you want to change, never did anything with sound so it’s all I can suggest.
