Engines / Hydraulic / Fuel pumps shut off midflight

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: The engines shut down in flight, and the fuel pump and hydraulic switches are turned off in flight.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue: Boeing 737 MAX

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? It’s occurred two flights now

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Flew from KDFW to KELP. Mid-flight fuel cutoff switches were turned off. No interactions from me as I was away from the PC.
  2. The hydraulic switches were off.
  3. The fuel pump switches were off.
  4. The autopilot remained activated and stalled the aircraft.
  5. Following a stall recovery procedure, I then initiated an engine restart with the APU.

YOUR SETTINGS

What peripherals are you using, if relevant: Honeycob Bravo Throttle, TM Boeing Yoke, Airbus TCA Side Stick, TM Pendular Rudder Pedals.

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? RTX4080

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? AMD 7900X3D, 64GB RAM, Windows 11, SSD Samsung Evo 2TB PC, and MSFS2024.

• It isn’t just in the Boeing. This happens once a flight in a Cessna 172 and I just had it happen in my brand new Grand Caravan. I haven’t figured out how to recover from it in the Grand Caravan, but I can give you the exact situation in the Cessna 172 as I have learned to live with it after through 50 hours of missions.

I will be on autopilot, everything is perfect for an hour (or 5 minutes or 2 hours) and then I hear a click. After the click, my fuel valve has shut off/ pulled out by itself (I check it is on before flying). I have to push it back in and then I can continue normally. Easily repeatable.

I accidentally discovered that this scenario can be triggered by my Thrustmaster TPR rudder USB disconnecting. The cable isn’t as tight as I would like. I hear the USB bu-beep when it disconnects but the reconnect causes the fuel valve issue. A disconnecting USB should not cause any controls to be manipulated in the plane - this is a strange but fatal bug.

In the Grand Caravan, I haven’t figured out how to fix it yet. I am trying to debug what control(s) it adjusts before needing to abort the mission before I crash.

Please fix!!! This is like being in a crash simulation every flight !

Are you guys using a desktop PC or Laptop?
And is your flight equipment plugged directly into your PC or are you using a USB hub?

I have experienced this random fuel shut off among other symptoms such as the throttles going to idle, the spoilers and flaps extending, as well as the landing gear dropping in 2020 and also 2024.It’s not just the Max 8 but also the BAE 146, Fokker F28 and Airbus A320neo.

I have suspected that it is due to a faulty USB connection that’s sending an inconsistent signal which is interpreted as a command in MSFS. I admit that I am using a powered USB hub, but I haven’t been able to specifically narrow it down to that since these “phantom commands” are not frequent enough.
