Error code: 306-400-00202 After the complete of the scientific mission

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:

Completing the first tornado observation mission resulted in the game loading endlessly. After restarting the game, the mission is still available, but when trying to start it, error code 306-400-00202 pops up

1.Complete the Tornado mission and encounter infinite loading after the summary
2. Restart the game
3. Try starting the mission again

Same thing. But. I’ve launched this mission a couple of times. But after completing it I get CTD

I decided to start the entire career progression over again. Once again after completing the science mission the game crashed, however, this time it ended with a reputation drop after restarting the game.

Had the exact same thing happen to me after completing the mission for the first time, CTD followed by massive rep drop.

Now getting 306-400-00202 on the science mission

Just flew a 2 hour mission. The moment I pulled into the parking to finish, hit the brakes, cessna stopped… then…

Edit: Just noticed this is a different error code… Now to re-post on whatever thread is holding complaints for code 309-400-00201…

Did they test career mode before launch?

Same issue, completed, CTD, rep hit, and now can not restart it and get the 306-400-00202.

I might try a reinstall to see if that fixes it.

When I completed my first tornado research mission, when calculating my XP it originally said “INFINITE XP” then changed to “NaN XP”. The sim then crashed with no errors.

When I logged back in I saw that the mission was complete and I received the credits, however my rating dropped from A to D.

Some additional context for my experience of this bug which nobody else has raised - possible just me or just detail others may have missed.

Support ticket raised.

Encounterd a similar CTD, when attempting to load my “HQ” after completing the mission. However, I did get an Application Error popup with a referenced instruction set.

Similar issue as stated above. Longer than normal loading of the “HQ” after completing this mission. Also encountering the massive REP drop when re-starting the application. Unable to resart the mission as it is no longer on my map.

No in game error code; however, I did encounter an Application Error / CTD.

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue:
During my career, I encountered a “golden” mission I cannot start because I get an error message: “Start location not available”. All information I have beyond that is visible on the screenshots.
Note that the mission description displays “00 mins left”. It’s unclear whether this is the underlying cause of the issue.
It’s possible that I already completed this mission a couple of days ago. I remember doing a “Scientific Research” mission, flying around a tornado in a DA62. If so, not sure why it reappeared. I’m pretty sure that I didn’t have a highlighted “golden” mission when I checked about 24hrs ago.

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)?
It’s reproducible and persists when the sim is restarted. I don’t know if it persists when/if the missions change or are rotated.

Not really practical steps to reproduce, but the best I can do:

Get to the necessary point in the career (ie. when you’re supposed to unlock “Scientific Research” missions, at least that’s what I assume the “golden” missions are for.).
Find the mission and click on it.
If you can, complete the mission, wait a few days, and see it reappear.

Today, I could actually start the mission, for some reason. It was the same mission (tornado) as before, albeit in a different airplane (before: DA62, I obtained the turboprop license in the mean time, so this time I got to fly the mission in the Caravan).

I completed the mission, then MSFS2024 got stuck for a while at the “Headquarters” loading screen, then MSFS CTD’ed and SteamVR “encountered an error” and wanted to be restarted.
