Hello all: I’ve had FS 2020 up and running on this PC for a few weeks now. It’s a custom built, i5 10,600K, 32G 3600 RAM, RTX3700 video card, 1T NVME system drive and 850W PS. That’s the relevant system information. The app had been running pretty well, but I was getting less than impressive frame rates (~28 fps) at the High graphics setting. So following some research, I found a thread saying so make sure the RAM had XMP profile loaded in bios. It had not, as it was running at 2133MHz. So, I enabled XMP and set the frequency to 3600 and suddenly, I was seeing close to 50 fps. That was great and I thought the problem had been solved. However, tonight after launching the app, the familiar “Microsoft Store Package Dependency Installer” appeared, to which I hit, Yes–only to be met with an error stating: “error performing inpage operation.” I typically launch FS using a shortcut on the quick launch bar. And now I get that error every time I try. However, if I launch FS from the Start menu, the Microsoft Store Package Dependency Installer dialogue appears and after pressing Yes, nothing happens–no software update and no error message. I thought maybe something had gone south with the system drive, but I’ve tested several apps and everything else runs perfectly.
To be clear, I did do a cold start after the XMP update and ran FS one time–but it ran just fine.
I’ve not seen any other issues like this, so I’d be grateful for some insight. I don’t want to reinstall the software again if at all possible.
Thanks, Craig
