I’m getting an error message that I don’t have enough disk space for the update. How big is it? I have 42 GB free.

Hi @AceRain88196857 ,
Could you provide a full-window screenshot that shows which update is being installed & the installation path it is trying to install too. It may look something like this:
Also, whether you are using a console or PC (Steam or MS Store), and (if PC) your drive configuration(s).
Thanks!
To take a screenshot use Win key+ Shift Key+s key if your using an PC
I have same problem , 70 GB free.
I’m using PC. What do you mean, “drive configurations”?
The community and offical folders are on the D: drive.
You can see from your screenshot that it’s intending to install these packages on your C drive. Unless that path contains a symlink to your D drive?
The thing being that if the community and official folders are symlinked into the standard path, then it might be doing a free space check on C (since that’s where the path starts) rather than D. Would you have enough space on C to install these packages? If not, that might be the issue.
(Just speculating based on general knowledge, though. I don’t have any experience of moving community / official off the C drive.)
All previous updates worked without a problem. However, I did not check the path when it was updating.
I have over 40 GB free on C: So back to my original question, how big is the update?
If for example you have Official and Community folders on the D drive in a folder named MSFS then on the installation screen under “Install Package Path” you need to click on the installation path and select the location where Official and Community folders are.
For example D:\MSFS
