Update system via windows update - also check optional updates.
Update graphisc drivers
Delete all files and folders from community folder - also delete 3rd party airports, aicrafts and addons from official folder.
What’s the cessna map?
So you reach the main menu? When exactly does the crash happen?
If you have anything in your Community folder, remove it and try again.
Hi,
Unfortunately , it’s crashed when I log into the game not when I trying to connect a flight . Im using Steam edition when I entered to play , it crashed to my desktop again
If you get the first loadingscreen and shortly thereafter the game stops loading and you return to desktop, you might have the same problem as I did.
The solution for me was to reset the game by entering windows settings - apps menu. The choices for the simulator is to “repair”, “reset” or “uninstall”.
By resetting a lot of folders are reset, so a 90GB download for the initial game is required then the world updates ingame. This worked for me, did not have to completely reinstall, and settings ingame was not disrupted.
Others also report “Repair” successful, recommend you try this option first.
Worth mentioning I’ve got the MS Store edition, but maybe this also applies to the Steam edition
They are using the Steam version of the sim which doesn’t offer this option.
But if downloading everything is an option, this can be achieved by using Steam “verify files” option since it wipes your downloaded packages as well.
Ah ok, not too familiar with the differences, but sounds like verify does the same as reset. I did make one more change prior to the reset, I discovered I did not have the US english language pack installed. This has not affected gameplay or game update earlier, but maybe this WU5 update does if not installed prior to update?
