Is anyone aware of a function or third party tool in MSFS 2024 that blocks the switching into external view when pressing the Escape button?
I find it quite immersion breaking when the Sim does that each time Escape is pressed. It also leads to stuttering and issues around texture loading when returning to the cockpit, so I would like the Sim to stop that behaviour.

The ESC key is mapped to “Toggle Pause” or “Set Pause Off”.
It has nothing to do with switching to the external view.

Yes, and that’s what it does. You toggle ‘pause’ and the camera zooms out of the cockpit and starts hovering around the aircraft.
Bump, because this is REALLY annoying.
Do no mods exist to stop it from occuring ?
Why when the game runs how it does do they think having a dramatic zoom out (followed by a stutter) everytime i pause the game is a good thing ?
