Escape Key not working in Game

ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Escape Key not functiong, even though its mapped to Go Back to Menu

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you. Each time now, that I am within a Flight, or at the end of it. I cannot “Escape” bacl to Main Menu. I need to Shutdown the Game by clicking on the Red X

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Checked mapping of Keyboard with Esc being the Key to go back to Menu.

  2. Checked Esc within the Menu Page where it has as prompt Go Back Esc Key. Works, each time

  3. Launch Flight, Flight is Okay with peripherals. If i need to check a Contoller, I cant back out. I need to Shutdown the program

What peripherals are you using:

[PC Only] Developer Mode is being used for multiple monitors, no other changes to it.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] DX12?

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? RTX5080

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share? Ryzen7 3XD 9300

I have had this to in 2024 (I’ve stopped using 2020 now)….not every flight (probably 1 in 10), but happens randomly!

The only thing that Esc is bound to for me is “SKIP RTC”.

I have done more testing by remapping the Keyboard. As mentioned before the Esc Key works while in the Main Menu. Its only in the Game itself, where it doesn’t.

Another thing which i have noticed, is that by shutting the Game down the Alt F4 key, i dont get the Warning Window that 2020 was not Shutdown correctly, with the option of going into Safe Mode / Continue.

I’m not having that issue. I would double check your keyboard bindings. Select the keyboard device, press the “Search by input” button, then press the Esc key. I only see the one option, as in my image above.

I’m curious to see what you see.
