After SU14, I am still getting this warning. Then I click install, the sim cycles to the start screen and loading process, only to give me the same warning again. My only workaround is to click “update later”. How do I get rid of the warning? I think my packages are up to date. Thanks.
Did you make the appropriate sacrifice to the MSFS Update God ?
I must be one of the “Lucky ones” because I do not have any issues with MSFS updates.
Maybe, because I regulary make sure my PC is running reliably, and all my OS Systems files are intact and correct installed (run DISM with assorted options)
I am typically in the Beta, so get regular updates, that all tend to install without error, but after so many Patches, I “almost always” completely remove and re-install MSFS after every SU.
While this should NOT be necessary, and I do not think it is an OFFICIAL solution, all those :PATCHES" just make me feel uncomfortable, and it turns out to be a lot faster to just RE_Install MSFS, than to try to figure out and determine what may be wrong, if a MSFS “Issue” is caused by a corrupted patch.
One things I have 100% confirmed makes a difference, and can cause issues, are some Anti-virus programs, running when installing or updating MSFS.
Therefore, I am relatively happy to turn off all AV programs, when Updating MSFS (especially Malware Bytes if you use it !!), and I then never have any update, download, de-compress issues.
(Relatively happy, because I regularly make a Disk Image copy of my drives, so if I do get hacked / infected, I can restore to a pre-hacked - pre-infected.
I also then have backups and cannot loose 100s of hours of Dev work !!
(Large HD Storage these days, is a lot less costly than having to re-do 100’s of hours work !!)
Everything that @N6722C said.
Well, minus the ritual sacrifice bit.
Let’s ease off on the Memes folks. Thanks.
If you haven’t seen this support article, it may be of some help:
Thanks for all the tips so far. Disabling AV and deleting WGS not working. I only deleted Asobo airports for airports where I bought a superior third-party product. Not quite ready to do a fresh install. Clicking “update later” works for now. I also tried deleting caches. I’ll keep troubleshooting and appreciate more tips.
There are lots of articles in the Support tab at the top of the page.
You may want to search there for some others that may help!
