As topic says, i don’t have an option to use SAFE mode after sim CTD it just uses SAFE mode as it was normal operation. Any thoughts or help how to get back to using full simulator… although 5 minutes into flight sim the screen freezes. The sim continues to work but my view is frozen. As a side note, the only flying i’m seeing is in the intro screen. Hopefully fixes are on the way
Now i am on day 2 of loading up sim in SAFE mode. Does anyone know if there is a setting… if i remember right msfs2020/FSX/MS2004 had a retail mode or something similar you could turn on and off. Even after though, i get five minutes of looking at aircraft before sim goes CTD probably because of FSUIPC. Which is funny because i have supported these guys so long i think we put Peters kid through college. I know i signed up for this but how can i help when i can’t fly.
Best thing to do is rename your Community folder (i.e _Community) and make a empty Community folder. Then try the sim.
If that fails, backup your profile folder files like; usercfg.opt, exe.xml, content.xml (content.xml moved to a new location) and delete the folder contents.
If it still fails a uninstall/install of MSFS2024, atleast it doesn’t take long to do in comparison to 2020.
