I hope I uploaded the video correctly… the description is: ready to TO, full throttle, my hands behind my back, the aircraft starts to move and immediately turns to the left; it keeps turning even when up in the air. If I try to correct this behaviour by steering to the right (Joystick Z axis), I have to apply full force until it starts moving to the right, then full force to the left and so on… Checking the aircraft from the external view, there is no steering of the front wheel and no rudder movement.
But this happens even with no peripherals attached (disconnecting my Thrustmaster MT Airbus) and leaving only keyboard and mouse (both in default setting). It happens with Modern type of simulation, it is not a matter of sensitivity when the joystick is attached.
And, this happens with every aircraft, in every weather condition, in no wind situation, from every airport.
I read dozens of posts in this forum and the only ones that are similar to my issue regard rudder behaviour or peripherals settings, double command assignments or weather conditions; even physics and aerodynamics. They are similar problems but unfortunately they are not the same as mine. This is going on from months, I tried all that I knew, I’m simply lost.
I opened a ticket with Microsoft Support, I’m receiving automatic mails asking me to do things I did already (in fact, getting the software to its vanilla state). I’m still waiting.
Now, dry your tears and if you can please give me a hint… it would be so much appreciated; maybe I missed something and I’m not capable to notice that.
I have a little doubt that my issue could be related to some code written in some config file, maybe after the installation of a joystick or a gamepad (I used to have a gamepad attached but it is not plugged in any more) but I don’t know where to check. Anyway it is just an idea.
The fact is that I checked this behaviour with a friend who has MSFS2020 installed on his PC. In his case everything goes right. Slight deviance for propellers, almost nothing at all for airliners. And I am sure that the same aircraft in good weather conditions on your system does not behave as the one in my video.
Which plane, exactly, are you using in the video you posted? I’d be happy to make a comparison video on my PC, if it helps, once I’m done with my current flight.
Thank uou for your help. The aircraft is a Textron Aviation Beechcraft King Air 350i. I don’t know il it is standard in any version of MSFS (mine is the deluxe). Have a nice flight… I’ll have some sleep (midnight here).
What joystick are you using? I’ve had the same problem with my Thrustmaster T16000M. I had to take it apart and clean it to make it work again. You could take a look in settings, your joystick and then look at the rudder. Mine twisted to the right.
Taschi4578, You did such an incredibile job for me. While I can’t understand the results of my friend’s system, I can now understand that my system is probably ok.
I’ll try to get back here when I will be able to repeat the test on another pc and the same settings.
The rest is upon myself. I never said that I’m a top gun pilot and this is why it is so useful to know that I don’t have to doubt about my system.
I owe you a coffee when you’ll come and visit Italy. Thank you
I remember starting FlightGear back in 2007 or some time around that, loading the Skyhawk, having it immediately veer of the runway, and then thinking “wow, this is garbage”. Took me several years to go back into any flight simulator after that. So I understand where you’re coming from
