Everyday Marketplace Update?

I’m not sure if this has been asked before, but why can’t we get a daily Marketplace update? (Or at least 3 or 4 times a week?) They don’t have to release new products every day, but there’s nothing wrong with releasing updates as soon as possible (as soon as they’re available) to keep the products we’ve paid for up to date! It clearly would be technically feasible and would help to decrease the backlog tremendously! Thank You for listening!

Monday sucks no one likes that day.
Games/software update on Tuesday
Allows bug reports to come in on Wednesday
Fixing on Thursday
Go home and rest on Friday

Sega (sonic Tuesday) marketing was very successful
So they say.

Blame the 80-90s as it started then in North America

I get it tho, it’s 2023 and devs can update whenever.
But everyone liked Tuesday.

Also remember reading it saved on bandwidth usage but can’t find the article.

My IT security brother says they still follow this even at his job. And he’s contracted for his local USAF base. So there’s many reasons and really no exact answer to why Tuesday became the standard for updating games/software.

Probably a mix of all of this.

Weekly is fine. There’s no difference in having it every day or weekly, apart from the fact that they have a lot more overhead from daily release cycles.
