I dont really know whats going on here, but, i did have two windows installs on different partitions, i retested msfs at one point on another partition, now every time i boot up my main partition my msfs doesnt launch, does nothing or says file or drive error on the exe. (i dont see how the other partition / install could be related, though it is on the same physical disk, just not same volume)
I then have to do the “reset” on it, or i have to uninstall gaming services and reinstall that and then it launches… but if i reboot, back to square one.
If i try to launch from msstore, sometimes i get 0x8007001f with a launch error “something went wrong launching”, this code changes from time to time
often on the repair it tries to launch… its installed in the new c:\xboxgames with a symbolic link basically so it will throw the error :
C:\Program Files\WindowsApps\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_1.31.22.0_x64__8wekyb3d8bbwe\GameLaunchHelper.exe
The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect.
Im also getting surprise removal of drive 12, drive 11 etc, drives that dont exist, but i believe they are the xvd’s i see under hidden drives in device manager, i think related to the xbox app
Has anyone ran into this one?
Thanks in advance
