External Camera Zoom!

Hello ,
Is there any way in External Camera to Zoom Just the Plane and Not everything ?

Thank you
Mike

What you’re asking is to be able to move the camera. That would change the apparent size of the aircraft while leaving the background unaffected.

As far as I can tell this isn’t possible using the external camera. Only suggestion I have is to try using the drone camera instead.

This is exactly what am asking !!
It’s a pity not to be able to zoom in or out just the plane
I don’t really use the drone camera a lot !
I also wish there was a Flyby view and Tower View !

Thanks
Mike

The issue is that in the sim, they’re emulating cameras vs just a view. And that’s how zoom on a camera works. It zooms into everything in its field of view, not just the subject. You want the effect of phycially moving the camera closer to your subject (plane) without zooming in the background. You just can’t do that in the external view.

As suggested, the drone view is your better option if that’s the effect you want. Just as a tip, if you happen to have an XBox or other dual analog controller laying around unused, you can use that to control the drone, and it makes it super easy to use and move vs using the very awkward keyboard commands.

I really would like to have this feature. zooming external view is very poor. I don’t want to zoom to everything but just to plane. In current method, scenery looks horribile when zoomed in
DCS World players can understand the difference between these 2 methods. In that game we can zoom to the plane only. And it looks very good.
This zoom problem was also like this bad in fsx too.

In Prepar3DV1 up to V5 Cameras are way better than Msfs 2020 !
Tower view , Fly By , Spot and Lock View ! Plus Zoom just the Plane ! All of them are great !
I wish Microsoft could give us more Camera Views in the future !!
