ISSUE DESCRIPTION

Description of the issue: When on takeoff roll, once speed is above 30kts, the aircraft will veer either to the left or right extensible. One has to give it reverse rudder to attempt to keep it on centerline which becomes impossible to do once speed is close to V1. What this does is force the aircraft outside of the runway forcing one to takeoff prematurely. Once one is off the ground, the veering stops and one can again regain control of the aircraft.

If applicable, which aircraft is experiencing this issue: For now it’s mostly the Vision Jet that comes with MSFS 2024 but I’ve seen this occur with the Pilatus PC-12 that comes with MSFS 2024 as well.

[PC Only] Did you remove all your community mods/add-ons? If yes, are you still experiencing the issue? Yes. I removed it but it still happens.

FREQUENCY OF ISSUE

How often does this occur for you (Example: Just once, every time on sim load, intermittently)? It occurs every time.

REPRODUCTION STEPS

Please list clear steps you took in order to help our test team reproduce the same issue:

  1. Select Cirrus Vision Jet
  2. Go on take off roll.
  3. Once past 30kts or so, the aircraft will veer either left or right and becomes nearly impossible to correct.

YOUR SETTINGS

If the issue still occurs with no mods and add-ons, please continue to report your issue. If not, please move this post to the User Support Hub.

What peripherals are you using, if relevant:

[PC Only] Are you using Developer Mode or have you made any changes to it? No.

[PC, MSFS 2020 Only] Are you using DX11 or DX12? DX12

[PC Only] What GPU (Graphics Card) do you use? Nvidia 4090

[PC Only] What other relevant PC specs can you share?

MEDIA

Please add a screenshot or video of the issue occurring.

Although it is a very light jet and the wind direction/force does play a certain role on the ability of keeping the nosewheel around the runway centerline on takeoff, I also noticed somewhat “unusual” force pushing the airplane to one side excessively on takeoff roll, which needs to be corrected by a significant rudder input.

Noticed the same issue on C172…Setting the Rudder Sensitivity to +/- 80 mitigate the problem a little bit but not enough for a correct take-off. Voted.

Just re-tested on a Vision Jet in EETN, runway 26, live weather. The wind conditions are almost perfect for a no trouble roll.

Run 1: Takeoff with brakes ON, thrust set to the takeoff power, then brakes off.
Run 2: Rolling takeoff.
Both required a very little rudder input, so with these winds - no troubles!

But, I guess the problem is with gusts and strong crosswinds mostly, pushing the airplane excessively to one side with a lot of rudder play needed. How realistic it is…don’t know. Maybe someone with real Vision Jet experience can say

Have you tried to turn off all wind/weather settings? In extreme wind conditions this can be a problem.
