The only thing I’d like to have back, without using the mod, is the nav lights ( blink )
Is there a way to instert them in the Dean’s F15 folder ?
If i’m not mistaken you need to replace system.cfg with the included in the mod
Doesn’t work
I’ll keep trying…
Thank you
Fixed it
I just replaced the PANEL folder, from Dean’s F15C to the mod
Everything is working now, including the nav lights - blinking…
This aircraft is just amazing. I started today, to " mod" everything I can ( I have a full backup, just in case)
I wish I could open the PC.PCK sound file
There is an annoying " whistle" inside the cockpit
Modding is addictive, be careful
I know, I did modify the F16, F18, M2000C, MiG 21, F14 and a few other, from DCS World
Including the sound.
As I said, I wish I could modify the sound for the F15C - MSFS
It’s not bad but this " whistle" is very very annoying
No matter what settings I use…
I didn’t tried it and don’t know how but maybe is compiled and the only you can do is mess with the XML file.
What exactly is inside the PC.PCK file?
Some wav / ogg sound files ???
I uploaded here 2 files ( sound )
F15C and F16
The F16 sound is incredible. The F15 it’s okay…
It adds so much immersion, no matter how good or bad the flight model is, scenery, clouds…
Sent you a link to fs developer site. Maybe there could be useful info and you could unpack a pck file
Thank you so much
Hi. I have a question regarding VOR navigation with the F-15. I am able to enter a VOR frequency, also to set it as the active frequency. On the HUD I can see the distance to it, but where is the direction to the VOR indicated? And how to tell the autopilot to got there (I am familiar with altitude hold and HDG navigation via autopilot)? I looked at the manual, but its not very detailed when it comes to different kind of procedures.
In the F-15C / D the HSI is located in the centre lower display panel in front of the pilot, with DME and Course readouts in the upper corners. Simply select the desired course via the CRS knob to intercept a radial. Same procedure in the F-15E / I, but the HSI is instead in the left display screen.
If you’re not familiar with the operation of an HSI and / or VOR radial navigation, a quick Google should clear up how to navigate around using them.
I got it to work! Thanks!
Hello all,
We noticed an issue with the aircraft stalling at AOA 20 degrees and entering spins easily after Asobo SU4 update, and also problems with landings. So we did further corrections in airplane geometry, Cl vs AOA curve and roll vs aoa. Reviewed the elevator scaling table to mitigate some bouncy effect added too.
Aside from the spin/stall and landing issue we also took this time to increase the user experience/quality of flight, with various visual additions/fixes.
Added- All models now have new aqua/blue"ish" formation lights when activated.
FIXED- All model cockpits are now visible. (Known previous issue on D/E/I models on AI/multiplayer models)
Added-New updated interior green accent/nav lights on all models(ON/OFF switch is the “flood light” dial, next to panel lights dial)
Added-Radio height (airplane height to ground) set to 3,000ft or less to display, for you low level fliers! (previously 1,000ft)
Added- C/D/E models- Auto landing/taxi light turn off/disable when gear is raised. When gear is lowered, the lights will be available to switch on or off at your discretion. Once raised, lights are inactivated to prevent seeing the lights while gear raised. The “I” is model not functioning properly, but all other models works as designed, at this current time.
Also, remember to check your CG before takeoff. 22-28 is the operating range, but a good place to set your CG before take off would be around 23.50-24.00%. As fuel is burned the CG will fluctuate, but setting your CG to roughly 23.50-24% before takeoff should keep you within the 22-28 as you fly and burn fuel.
Happy flying!
I was wondering if it was only me! I knew the aircraft felt different and uncontrollable when I got to a certain attitude but wasn’t sure what…
You were right and aren’t the only one who noticed it.
It has been difficult for us to review everything because the SDK is not up to date and shows incorrect values when calibrating the flight model, but I think this version is better than 1.19, as long as Asobo does not change anything else (hopefully …).
I mean, Asobo has improved the flight model in my opinion, but the values that worked well before now don’t … we don’t know if it’s a bug or if these changes are here to stay … but in any case we could adapt to the situation. If Asobo reversed the changes, we would notify you to return to 1.19. But hopefully not and i wish they corrected only the SDK part as soon as possible.
Please do something about the problem of the front wheels bouncing when landing…
Even if you have scored a touchdown, that bounce will make you roll over and ruin everything.
Thanks for the report, one of the things I wanted to check is precisely the stiffness of the shock absorbers and the suspension elements in general.
My personal opinion is… that the older version of the F-15 was less prone to bouncing and somewhat easier to land.
This F-15 keep the AOA at 8 degrees and land at a descent rate of 100-300, you can get a good landing without causing a bounce. Even so, it’s a bit tiring because it requires very delicate control.
Anyway, I am greatly relieved that you have paid attention to this problem.
I hope it will be improved.
