Thank you for your comment.

I really thank you for your investigation about wrong VOR behavior. It gave me a big clue.

Just a heads up, theres another amazing modder who has already modded the F-15. You two should work with the main guy who sold us the F-15 - he’d love to have your support!

The guy on these forums who modded it so well, he caught the attention of DC Designs, his name is @CodenameJack447

Hi there, I just installed the F-15 and installed the mod. Excellent work, Thanks

Thanks for your comment.

Honestly speaking, I don’t have enough interest about working with or working for someone. Because my work had started for my friend who gift this aircraft add-on to me. It is kind of my thank expression to my friend. Also, people who working about F-15 mod have an different goals and target. I also have my own goals and target like my previous 747-8i reworks.
I almost achieved my rework goals. I had aimed F-15E (F-15C is later, after my analysis more reference data) with typical A-A configuration, and i think I achieved quite close to real data. I set a similar MAC locations and C.G characteristics and also successfully simulate MILITARY Power Thrust and Afterburner Thrust characteristics. Also, take off and landing performance and combat maneuvering performance, thrust and fuel consumption is closely match with real data (you can check my data references above).
Of course, acceleration and maximum speed is exaggerated for entertaining.

Thanks for your opinion, but I have my own goals.

Have a nice flight, and check six!

YuriKAiRi has Ph.D of Aerospace Engineering.

I know a few other doctors. They said the Aerospace engineering technology used in games is only at the level of making money when they want to buy a cup of coffee.

Carefully speaking, YuriKAiRi wouldn’t have had much trouble working on the F-15. Because there are a lot of reference documents and research papers about F-15.

But, I don’t have any dollars for a coffee. :sob:

Post-stall maneuvering test with my reworked flight model.

※ It is not included in my Flight Model Rework mod ※

This is an exclusive model for testing about level of flight model completion. ※

or…just for fun…?

▣ V1.11 (Revision 20 - Minor 1 Fix) Changelog
:arrow_forward: Adjust response time for the flight control surfaces

It is a minor change version.

What exactly does this mean " adjust response time for the flight control surfaces"?

Um…it is hard to tell you (because I’m not an English native), but It is similar meaning as kind of ’ input lag ’ what is normally used in multiple games.

Can we import this fix over the new version released today ?

V1.2 - Revision 21 for the updated version is almost done for F-15E and F-15I.

FAQ

Q. I saw the 2 stage flap, where is take off position?
A. Real-life F-15 have 2 flap position. Just UP and DOWN. - Reference : Flight Manual of F-15E

Q. I always failed RAMP START (Cold and Dark Start).
A. It is default related issue. It still not fixed by Developer (DC Designs). Please use Ctrl + E Autostart function. I also investigating this strange issue, and I think this is related to Engine Master Switch Function or something. (Starter and ignition and fuel flow is fine, but RPM always stuck at low RPM below idle.)

Q. I experienced adverse yaw behavior during maneuvering near 200 knots.
A. There are two reason. The first is about limitaion of simulation engine.
Actual F-15 have a two vertical tails and ARI (Aileron-Rudder Interconnect) and CAS (Control Augmentation System). However, I failed to simulate this additional control system, maybe MSFS2020 doesn’t support dual vertical tails and ARI / CAS system properly or I missed functions. Therefore, directional stability is little bit insufficient in specific condition like a high AOA (over 20 degrees) and low speed.
The second is inappropriate lateral control during high AOA maneuvering. Please avoid full lateral input in high AOA. Actual F-15 is also prohibited maneuvering with full lateral control during high AOA situation.

Q. Where is the F-15C/D rework? Did you have a plane?
A. Yes, I’m under analysis its flight characteristics now. Rework about F-15C/D is later, because flight characteristic is little bit different.

Yep…support v0.2.0, and little bit fix, plus adjustment & improvement about maneuverability. Now turn rate and roll rate is also nearly match with flight test result in reference document.

Awesome, kudos.

OK, one person opinion on your mod vs 2.0 update and flight model. I put some time in both planes and my vote goes with this one. I am very glad both have updated and are helping this product advance so much faster than if left alone to developer (DC Design). Kudos to Dean for being open to inputs and putting the product out early - I know you got slammed but overall I’m having a blast. Now one request YuriKAiRi - get to work and get the C-done - tired of having a dude in back seat. What’s that saying - Gas, Grass or ■■■ now one rides free… LOL… Thanks

Thanks for your comment.

Now my reworked F-15E flight model has almost matched its flight performance to real-life F-15E. (Reference data are Performance Charts in F-15E Flight Manual)

I think now I have a good robust flight model structure to simulate F-15s.

Therefore, F-15C/D will start soon. Actually, F-15C/D is under analysis now. Because F-15C/D and F-15E is a little bit different. Therefore, I can’t use the same data. For example, MTOW and Thrust of F-15C are 68,000lbs and around 48,000lbs, but F-15E are 81,000lbs and 58,000lbs. So, it shows different characteristic. (e.g. different turn rate and take off performance)

I will also aim for real-life F-15C/D’s performance with A-A Configuration like my F-15E project. :vulcan_salute:
