So, flying the F18, trying to do ‘some of that pilot sheez’, I notice it will only pull around 7G no matter what you do.
Then I looked around a little bit and found this:
There’s a paddle to override the limiter. Wonderful I thought, let’s bind a button to it.
But there’s no paddle in the list of bindings. I can’t find it
Any clues?
It’s located in the autopilot section and called “G-Limiter Toggle” I guess.
The annoying thing about this is I have the same stick as in the F18, and there’s no binding for the paddle. You can separately bind all of its functions but it acts strangely.
It doesn’t toggle on and off, if that’s what you’re expecting. The G-limiter paddle only engages if you are pulling the stick back as you hit it. It will automatically reset when the stick returns to a neutral position, and hitting the paddle while the stick is neutral basically does nothing except disconnect the autopilot and nosewheel (the secondary function of the G-limiter, as a G-limiter is essentially a form of autopilot).
