F27 developer?

Manual says that you disconnect AP quite early any hand fly by FD the rest of ILS approach.

I made a flight today. A completely new thing to me - flying VOR. I love the aircraft. It gave me a bit of pain, but I don’t think it’s aircraft, rather me, who’s not used to flying VOR to VOR.
Handles great, systems work ok, autopilot is functional. Great, great airplane.

Awesome! I love that. Improving your skills.

Yes it is kind of. Same author but this is 64bit as the fsx one was 32 bit and didn’t work in p3d. So more of a rebuild than your typical conversion. Very well done too.

So @Ariana2022UK what do you think?? Im guessing you downloaded this beauty??

Hi!

Yes, thank you so much for your suggestion!!

After 5 years of waiting for an F27 I am completely in love with this very almost payware level aircraft!! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts::smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

And what an amazing manual too!!

My only issue is that it doesn’t seem to pick up VORs too well in 2024, as this is its main form of navigation I don’t know how much use I’m going to get right now until some sort of update (I can’t bring myself to cheat with GPS).

I don’t know if I have the stamina to spend a day re-downloading 2020 although I am also massively missing my PMDG aircraft too

(Just to add this is probably now my most favourite aircraft for landings- so satisfying!!!)

I’m absolutely glad you are enjoying this old bird and through its faults.. I mean, it is freeware and but definitely payware quality standards.. I knew you would enjoy flying this plane and for VOR, I did read some other people having a few issues with 24 but you souod like its still flyable as it is…
Definitely worth msfs2020 just for a working vor alone and also for those pmdg birds…:rofl:
Those landings are awesome!!! Even those low profile takeoffs

@BragRaindrop933 you should give it a go, even if its just to get a feel for it, learn the basics and when there is a 24 update you will be ready!!! It is a great wee plane
And…
@SkyVagrant4490 this plane has your name fokkering written all over it.. KLM, pride of the dutch, the best thing ever created by dutch people, apart from windmills, sour liquorice and Bitterballens :rofl::rofl: if you still have an old copy of msfs2020 on the bookshelf, you should definitely plug it in and get the F27 !!! Some great dutch liveries on flightsim.to

I might just re-download 2020 next time I have a spare day you know, now having 3 reasons why (F27, 777 & 737).

Can you imagine a boris sound pack for the F27??? Literally don’t think I would fly anything else.

Thanks again!

Oh thanks for the heads up Frag, ol’ friend. I’m currently still on MS20 as MS24 isn’t worth my trouble just yet. I bought the copy in advance but… dont wanna be a labrat again all over.

I’m gonna check it out and see, this one!

Once I’m back on my feet from this flu, I think I’ll be giving this Fokker a shot! Dang it looks good!

I reckon you will love it!! Just so you know…
There are clickable folders on both sides of the seats for various things..
That doesn’t really explain it well :rofl:
The fo side has the doors and external power option and the captain side has like the fuel trim etc…
Its definitely not a pmdg, no cabin.. but its absolutely awesome in many other ways…
When you get it, there are two mods to find as well…
One is for better lighting and the other makes the various lables more readable…

Some awesome liveries now as well!!

Edit…
There is a fuel trim thing which, from what I’ve read, is kinda like a fuel conditioner…
When you open the folder on the captains side, it will give you data on what you shoukd set the fuel trim at for starting.. from memory if its 15c you set it to 25%
Then you use the big dial above you to figure out what fuel trim you set it at for take off.
This one only has one dme which is below the fo nav tunner.

This aircraft works in FS 2024?

Yes, at least on my computer. However, I haven’t tried any ATC, GPS, or other navigation functions. But they are reported to work, according to what I’ve read.

ok thanks because on flightsim.to there is no flagged fs2024 in compatibility

My paints do not list 2024 compatibility since I don’t have 2024 so I can’t check. But if someone can confirm they work, and I can change the compatibility settings

No idea which liveries are yours, but I’m using the Northwest/Mesaba 4k livery from Flightsim.to in 2024, if that helps. If you identify one of your liveries, I’ll try it out and report back.

I’ll try out the navigation devices in the F27 using 2024 in the days ahead. It flies very nicely, though, that much I know.

I set up a flight in MSFS 2024 from KMSP to KORD. I was able to use the 2024 EFB to load a flight plan made using Little Nav Map and send the plan to the avionics. The checklists work, too, and are very detailed, as is the instrumentation. This is a very impressive aircraft and I can confirm, the quality of some of the best payware. I’m using it with BATC and, so far, it’s working quite well. I can easily see this becoming one of my favorite aircraft!

Update: The documentation is excellent! It’s going to take awhile to learn about this plane.

You will have it in no time… actually, once you’ve spent a few flights in her, you actually start realizing just how simple and easy it is to fly her…
I used to do the entire checklist and do those tests and what not but now…
I skip those and can basically get it up and flying in like 5 minutes…

Just open that folder in the FO side and get the ground power going and just turn on the radios and get those inverters on and radios on and gor from there…

Remember to open the captains folder to see what fuel trims you need and set your fuel trims for start up, then look above you to set it for take off and your all good

One bug I think I have found…

Skipping the ground power option on the folder and just selecting the ground power swtich on the panel gave me an issues in not being able to start the engines up…
Although visually, if you select the ground power setting, the GPU would appear giving you that false sense that it was not actually powering the plane

As soon as I tried starting the engine, it was like it tripped a fuse on the plane and it would just power down..

But if I turned the power to Batt and selected the actual ground power option in the folder, it seemed to fix it.

@mhron

Did you end up finding her???

The f27 I mean :rofl::rofl:
