It actually makes sense that the AN-2 release would push back the ATR release. When considering marketing, you want to keep the interest high. If you release everything at once, then you have nothing for later. Another plane was released in the stead of the AN-2 way back (I forget what), and the AN-2 has been a verrrryyy long time coming.
Of course, releasing the AN-2 and AN-225 at the same time runs counter to my argument here, but, maybe because they are both Antonov aircraft and it’s still winter and Ukraine is often connected to “the long winter”?
And you’re right, pushing it back does let them develop the ATR for a little bit longer which is likely a good thing.
I’d been meaning to post about this dev stream. I thought that the quality and presentation was excellent! By far one of the best update formats from Developers I have watched imo. Thank you and I look forward to the next one!
