If that 32 is GBs I bet that costs more than €260
Makes sense the DRAM Frequency of 1463.5MHZ x 2 = 2927 and rounds out to 2933 which the Task Manager is stating.
Thanks!
I paid 700 CAD for 2 kits, well worth it. Got the second kit when I started to play with Usr.cfg to raise LOD’s and AA and reflections past game allowances and 32GB wasn’t close to cutting it
It’s 2x 16GB and cost € 360.-
I must admit when I paid €130 for my CL14 it was out of character but then I figured the extra speed means I’ll never need more than 16GB for 1080p
Nice vid, just a shame I’ll never get to enjoy it in all it’s splendour
DDR5 RAM is on the horizon and is starting to hit retail:
Pricey, and would require a new mobo, but maybe a consideration soon instead of investing in more DDR4? For now it looks like DDR4 may be the only practical way but if you wait a bit…
Never say never, its hard to predict the future my friend
Of course this is an option. My rig is good enough, I shouldn’t be in a hurry to upgrade it. It’s probably just GAS (Gear Aquisitian Syndrome).
At least there isn’t a BTS sticker on it.
YES!!!
is the old Northbound-Controller freq… It’s no longer exact a NB, because on-chip, but “semanticly” same ( memory controller, cache, etc. )… should be, If I’am not wrong, the Cache-Ratio setting in bios with a min / max setting ( similar to cpu )
Weird because I thought I tried all the ‘Memory Try It’ profiles on my mainboard before but obviously missed this one
So that’s 4400MHz and so far it seems to run fine in MSFS, volts under 1.5 and temps around 40°C for this short 15 minute test. Framewise I’m seeing at least 4 or 5 more on my very GPU limited system.
4 or 5 fps more if you are GPU limited is maybe 9 or 10 more if you were CPU limited.
How much is it % wise?
15-20 I guess. Mainthread just remains a solid block of green.
You have been at 3200 before?
No at 3600 14-14-14-34
Even better. 22% more frq, 15-20% more fps.
Thank you, I think I will go for the 4400 RAM.
