FBW 320 Stable version 0.6.0.3

Hi!

Installed the latest stable version of FBW 320 and I have a few problems.

Screens do not lit up. Screen test message blinks and then nothing.
Switching APU on/off a few times makes screens finally turn on.

When taking off engines starts to spool down and up rapidly (like 60-95% N1).

When airborne and switching off autothrottle and setting throttles to climb detent engine temps Max out to red limit.

Anyone else having these issues?

Moin.
To startup turn on the batteries and start ExtPWR then the lights will come on.
When you have started, do not switch off Autothrust but only pull the lever back on climb when it is displayed in the PFD.
Take a look at this little video. There are of course better and more precise explanations on Youtube, but it is faster here.

Well, I fly the A320 IRL so hopefully I’m handling it correctly :grinning:.

These are bugs not faulty handling.

Maybe I’ll try to do a reinstall.

Do I understand this in the right manner? Do you switch, IRL, off the autothrottle on the A320 immediately after take-off and then using Detents?

No you dont switch off the Auto Throttle at all in flight under “Normal Operations”, unless you want full Manual Control of the engine power… I am not an Air Bus Pilot, But I have in the past worked with many of them, even MRTT Pilots and never is the auto throttle switched off, You just move to the detents as directed… This is under normal procedures or SOP’s for most Airlines.

I am not sure why or I have not heard about shutting off the Auto Throttle and still moving to a detent?

No, I didn’t state that you switch off autothrottle after TO (normally, unless you have an issue with AT).
I said if you do and put it to climb detent temps go to redlining and that is not how the actual aircraft behaves.
This is a minor issue though to me.

Engines spooling up/down when in TOGA however is a problem.
And it only happens when starting cool and dark.
If putting it up on the runway this do not happen.

Are you using the A32NX Mod or the Default A320 in the game?

Downloaded ”stable” version from FBW. Not via MSFS marketplace.

I would suggest trying the Development Version. I always use that one. Also if you have not already make sure your throttles are calibrated accordingly in the EFB inside the plane.

Use the Installer, it easier and faster

Oh - sorry - you did not understand my question. In your post you write:

Do you do that in a real A320 ?

Is the Dev version ok when it comes to stability?
Should I de-install the stable version first? Or could you have both installed?

Will try to recalibrate too.

Remove completely the A32nx you have installed now…

Then download the installer and choose the Development version. I have never had a major issue with it. Of Course it is a development version, so it is possible to have bugs, but honestly it is very very rare.

They update it at least 2 or 3 times a day, So I check before I fly the A320.

No, usually never. You touch the throttles three times - setting MCT/max power, climb and idle before touchdown. That’s it.

If it is to be a study plane however it should be correct :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: even when flying it old school.

I’ll try the dev version!
