FBW A320 Cabin Altitude Warning

So just took off in the FWB A320 and a minute into the flight I get a big warning that the cabin altitude is beyond some limit and we’re all gonna die. However checking the cabin altitude it’s at a smooth 2200’ msl and holding steady. Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it? Thanks!

You can press the master warning button to silence the alarm. And you can press the CLR button on the center console to clear the messages.

On the overhead panel, check that you have the engine bleed air set to “on” and cabin pressure to “auto”

If the bleed are would be off, the cabin pressure wouldn’t be normal.

@Neo4316, the point is that the warning doesn’t make any sense.
The master warning button has been pushed already.

I’ve had a few instances where the warning button doesn’t light up but there’s a warning sound. I just click the button even if it’s off just to silence the sound. Then clear the message because I know the warning doesn’t make any sense and just reset the messages.

Were all doors and hatches closed?

What airport did you depart from? These erroneous warnings aren’t uncommon when you’re takeoff altitude is well above the pressurised cabin. Taking off at 5000 feet in Johannesburg and then find the cabin pressurising to an altitude lower that that sometimes messes up the system.

Regardless, I notice the engine bleeds sometimes require a reset after you disconnect the APU. I see from the cabin gauge that its holding 2200 psi (no climb) so it’s possible the system isn’t able to pressurise due to the engine packs being offline. (it should maintain climb position upto about 8000 feet on the A320N).

I was having the same problem until I saw your article  When I took the external camera, I saw that the FWD door was open. Thank goodness you exist, ground services
