FBW A320 engine starts - works sometimes

It’s me I’m sure.

A320, FlyByWire, engine start. Sometimes it works, and sometimes, nothing. What is a common error?

Cold and Dark, set up the aircraft. Pushback. Engine start time!
Check APU on..
APU Bleed on…
Fuel pumps on…
Throttles to Idle…

Selector to Start (right)
Eng 2 - flick up.

Sometimes, I get a start.

Other times (most), I get nothing. N1 goes to .3, EGT, I can’t recall, both not much movement.

The only way I fix it is CTRL + E, get some FBW arning about something unrelated, and then .. flick Engine 1 to cut off, and back on, and hey presto! Starts.

How can I work out what I;m missing? Is there a known GOTCHA!?

The FBW A320 is not a MSFS 2024 plane yet, so there are problems to be expected.

The development version works reasonably well for me though.
If not, try again with a completely empty community folder.

Moved to User Support Hub > Aircraft & Systems that is more appropriate for community support.

That was a well-known problem in old versions (< 0.13). Using the latest version or dev versions does not show the problem anymore.
