Why is my MSFS2020 FBW A389 panel showing this error and how can I fix it? The left ILS display localiser is stuck, the glide slope is fine. The right side doe not have this problem. The AC flies very well except for this hiccup. I seem to remember I did not have this problem until the last two or three months. Any help would be great. Thx.
I never got an answer to my month-old question. Please, someone, anyone? In trying to fix this, I blocked all addons in my Addon Folder and I re-installed the Development FBW A380. The problem is still there. I hope somebody will find post this and come up with a resolution. I did not post on Discord because I have yet to learn my way around that app. To recap: The left Localiser indicator is stuck in the center and remains in a single line position and won’t move like the right side localiser indicator does. That right side ILS and Localiser in that aircraft work well. Thanks for any help.
Only thing I notice is ILS1 is manually tuned with no ident and ILS2 is automatically tuned. How did ILS1 get tuned? Looks like something is off in how the radios are set up.
I know you said you didn’t post on discord, but I think that’s the best place to get all the answers to your question. The dev team are pretty good on the FBW discord channel and I am sure they will have a solution to your problem.
Thanks for getting back to me, Gorony. If I remember correctly, I was flying the A380 just to get the screenshot needed to show what was happening on my panel, this was not a full-fledged point to point flight with a SimBrief flight plan. As usual, before take-off, I pressed Ctrl-5 to get a view of FMS1, zoomed out and clicked the NAV AID button below the FMS and I just entered the ILS frequency I wanted and its track, that’s it. I usually do this with any heavy AC when I want to use it for a quick flight to practice my landings and things like that. I never program the right side radio manually and, in this case, the correct ILS frequency with Ident on the right side must have been entered automatically when I entered the desired ILS frequency in NAV as described above.
I’ve been very busy lately but I’ve now managed to test this problem on a flight with a full SimBrief FP loaded and the anomaly remains, even if I enter the Ident manually. I appreciate your help but my quest continues. Thanks.
Well, Venular Jet9, I went to the FBW Discord and, once logged in, looked for a place where I could post my question and show my screenshot as easily as I could do so here, in the MSFS Forums. Alas, there’s no visible “Post your question here” box or section. Simply said, I don’t know how I can ask the good people at the Discord my question and show them my screenshot. There’s a Box with a Magnifying Glass but I was unable to post my question there. Silly, no? I can get a new flight from SimBrief and program my FBW MCDU or FMS with it but I can’t navigate a site like FBW’s Help Section and get an answer to a question without tripping on umpteen other links that pop up once any link is clicked… the problem being that when you start clicking links, there’s no end to it. You click a link and Boom! You have to click another link (OR LINKS). There’s no end to it. Wish it worked like my car’s inch-thick owner’s manual. Want to know how to set the clock? You look at the index for ‘Clock’ (Page 107) and you know the answer. On Page 107, there are no instructions to go look elsewhere; You’re told how to set the clock on page 107. That works for me. The hundreds of links in FBW’s numerous help sections don’t. The Discord navigation reminds me of FBW’s website navigation and, for me personally, that’s unfortunate. This might well be easy for a lot of you here but, personally, I don’t find it intuitive.
Sorry for the delay, Gorony, I’ve been away. I attach a screen showing the page you wanted and another view of my control panel showing the non-working left localiser on approach to Runway 24R at CYUL. The right side display’s localiser is working normally. I am wondering if a solution can be found just by looking at the two screens. Thanks.
